As the header already says, welcome to my inner headspace; I mean blog. For those of you who accidentally clicked on something and it lead you here: my name is Mererose Daniels (phonetically pronounced Mary Rose). It's kind of a strange name if you haven't encountered something like it before, but it's a childhood nickname that has stuck ever since.

I am an odd mixture of an uptown lady, midwestern gal, and cowgirl, spending a lot of my time growing up between the states of Virginia, Illinois, and Colorado. I tend to move around a lot for work and always end up picking up habits and tidbits of different cultures everywhere I go. I like to think I'm partaking in the true melting pot experience the U.S. has to offer (when I'm not being a homebody).

My aspiration for this blog is to hopefully help people feel like they are not alone in experiences by sharing some of mine. Life is complex so there is no way I'll be able to hit everything, but I'm going to give it a shot. I also try to read at least one book a month and post a review of it to help expose people to new things they might not have heard of before. I also love prose and poetry and every now and then get inspired by some weird thought or emotion, so head to that section if you're looking for something a little more fanciful.

I would also be remiss if I didn't mention the love of my life. Her name is Fae and she is a little Pembroke Welsh Corgi I am raising. She has been a much needed companion and will most likely make frequent appearances throughout some of my posts.

Forgive me if I am not a regular poster. We all have imperfections and I am definitely working to make more time for writing. If I'm not posting regularly and there is something you're interested in, feel free to give suggestions in the bottom section of my blog.
